1) My real name?Justin Anjuli Kintanar Vestil
2) Why Anjuli?It's actually a combo of my grandparents' names, Antonio and Julieta. But it seems some people thought that I was named after Angelina Jolie. First of all, Angelina is different from Anjuli, and second, Angelina Jolie wasn't a rising star during the Martial Law.
3) How old are you?‘Am I entitled to answer that question? Well, I'm both young and old. Young at heart, but old in looks.
4) Do you have a nickname?Yes. My "birth" nickname is Nojjii. I was named after my father's skin color, which was very black during my birth. The extra I's was actually a joke from my Mom. Double I means Itom Itlog (black balls)
5) Do you have any other nicknames aside from THAT?Well, during my first years in my new hometown, kids call me Tamisaki, after the Japanese guy in the Tanduay commercial (circa 1996). My close friends from high school call me Instik. Some of the bullies I have to deal with during the primary and secondary school days, called me bunch of names. An example is Tungol (shit tube).
6) Where did you grew up? I started my life in Pardo, my Father's hometown. When I was starting for high school, we moved to Minglanilla. Since then, I've been in Minglanilla.
7) According to some of your friends, you wanted to be a writer. When did writing became your passion?Writing became part of my life after reading sexy fanfiction on the Internet. It inspired me to be a porn script-writer someday.
8) Seriously?Hehehe...Actually, my writing life began after reading my first novel, River of Lanterns. It inspired to read more, and eventually, to write some stories. I started writing on drafts, but eventually went to the trash. The journey went to a standstill, then revived during my college days.
9) Why writer? Ever thought of going to the Nursing career instead?First of all, writing is the journey of the pen in the eyes of the imaginative. It is war, wherein the soul and the words are on the warpath. The pen, as old writers would say, is mightier than the sword. It's also a fun, but stress-inducing type of career. Second, Nursing is not a career deemed for me since I'm afraid of needles, and have a sensitive gag reflex.
10) What are your plans for the future?Well, my plans involved a lot of cash, a writing career, family of my own, and definitely, a blooming sex life. Ehehehehe...
